Founded in 2021 by Army veteran Sean Rowe,
Veteran Rehab and Refuge 501c3 nonprofit is committed to serving veterans by offering a unique self-sustaining property to house, train, employ and empower those who truly deserve life's best. Our neighborhood of tiny homes surrounding a vertical hydroponic greenhouse of various organic produce fed by our own fish culture invokes high standards to be all we can be
A Veteran and an Author
Sean's autobiography The Dark Side of the Army and his vision for Veteran Rehab and Refuge detailed in The Veteran Struggle and Survival Guide serve as further evidence of our humanitarian efforts. Sean spent 8 years in the Army including tours in Iraq and Korea. Since exiting the Army, he has continuously worked and volunteered countless hours with numerous nonprofit organizations to provide critical services for the disabled, handicapped, seniors, struggling veterans and the homeless. Although Sean is no longer with us physically we are committed to building his legacy
We believe that Mother Nature is the supreme catalyst of mental health and a wooded property adds to the sanctuary feeling on this organic farm land. Nature-based engagement improves memory, reduces depression, lowers blood pressure and creates healthier families. We are committed to building a strong and supportive community for veterans to thrive. Residents have access to a range of resources fostering individual ideas for entrepreneurs in a rural setting
